Description of AWS Class ER347:
Alloy 347 is a columbium stabilized austenitic stainless steel with good general corrosion resistance and somewhat better resistance in strong oxidizing conditions. The alloy has good oxidation resistance and creeps strength at high temperatures. This alloy is used in high temperatures applications due to its mechanical properties. Alloy 347 also offers higher creep and stress rupture properties. Alloy 347 is not suitable in chloride solutions or sulphuric acid.
