What is AWS Class AWS Class ERTi-7 MIG & TIG?
Alloy Ti-7 has excellent corrosion resistance and constructive force at low density. A small accumulation of palladium has been made to these AWS Class ERTi-7 MIG & TIG welding wires for a large rise in its corrosion resistance. These MIG & TIG wires can be annealed by heating to 650-760°C (1202-1400°F). In case of stress easing is requisite, it has to be heated to 480-595°C (896-1103°F), then air-cooled.

Properties of the AWS Class ERTi-7 MIG & TIG:
Alloy Ti-7 is resistant to corrosion in reducing acids and localized attacks in the hot halide media. This alloy is the same as grade 2 and has intermediate strength and flexibility. The weldability of BOHLER ERTI-7-IG is rated as excellent. These AWS Class ERTi-7 MIG & TIG wires are single-phase materials. Hence the microstructure of the alpha phase is not exaggerated by thermal treatments or welding temperatures.
Heat treatment of titanium is confirmed to have significant influences on dipping the residual stresses improving the mechanical properties, including tensile strength or fatigue strength by solution treatment and aging. Moreover, heat treatment offers a perfect mixture of ductility, machinability, and structural stability due to the disparity in microstructure and cooling rates between alpha and beta phases.
